1998-99: At the NCAA Championships, earned Honorable Mention All-American honors as member of UF's 15th-place 800 free relay and 16th-place 400 medley relay...individually at NCAAs, placed 21st in the 200 fly (1:47.29), touched 29th in the 400 IM (3:54.01) and 38th in the 200 IM (1:49.92)...at the SEC Championships, was a conference finalist in the 400 IM, touching sixth in a provisional time of 3:53.93...won the 200 fly consolation final for seventh place in a consideration time of 1:47.15...took 12th in the 500 free (4:28.79)...additionally, a member of the 800 free relay foursome which finished third in a provisional time of 6:34.70...named to the SEC Academic Honor Roll
1997-98: At NCAAs, placed 18th in the 200 fly (1:46.99), 29th in the 400 individual medley (3:58.67) and 44th in the 200 IM (1:51.36)...at the SEC Championships, was the runner-up in the 200 fly with a career best of 1:46.19, ranking seventh-fastest in UF history...placed fourth in the 400 IM (3:51.90) with the sixth-fastest time on UF's all-time list...won a swim off in the 200 IM with a then-personal best time of 1:49.00 to make the finals where he took sixth (1:49.16)
