Student Basketball Ticket Procedures
All students must maintain at least one (1) UF credit hour in order to be eligible to attend a Gator basketball game. Students with a judicial hold must resolve their hold with Student Conduct and Conflict Resolution in order to regain their eligibility.
Entering the O’Connell Center on Game Day
Students enter the O’Connell Center at Gate three (3) starting two (2) hours prior to tipoff. Students must bring their most recent Gator 1 ID card to enter the game. The first 900 students will receive a wristband for the lower level. Only students who are registered for a game are guaranteed a spot in the O’Connell Center.
Basketball games are FREE for University of Florida students. Students register for basketball games via gatorzone.com/students. Registration becomes available at various dates throughout the season and can be found here. The 2,300 students who register are guaranteed admission as long as they enter the O’Connell Center by tipoff.
Students who did not register can still attend men’s basketball games. An unregistered line for students who were unable to pre-register forms adjacent to the main student entrance at Gate three 3 (3) of the O’Connell Center. Students in this line are let into the O’Connell Center at tip-off, based on availability.
Penalty for Missing a Registered Game
Students who miss a game that they had registered for are not guaranteed a seat for the following three (3) basketball games. These students may still attend by waiting in the unregistered student line if space permits.
Canceling a Registration
Students who registered but cannot attend a game can avoid the three game penalties by unregistering up to 48 hours prior to tipoff via gatorzone.com/students. Within 48 hours, students can notify the Student Ticket Office via email at StudentTicketOffice@gators.ufl.edu. Late cancellations must be received before the Gates open for the game, which is two hours prior to tip-off for students. Please include your eight digit UF ID number in the email. Students are limited to two (2) late cancellations.
A limited number of guest tickets may be available for each men’s basketball game. Students can purchase guest tickets, if available, at the customer service table located inside Gate three (3) of the O’Connell Center starting two (2) hours prior to tipoff. Guest tickets cost vary depending on the game and are general admission tickets.
Married students can purchase a ticket for their spouse for each game at the customer service table located inside Gate three (3) of the O’Connell Center starting two (2) hours prior to tipoff for $8.
Men's Basketball Rowdy Reptiles Status
Students who attend at least ten (10) men’s basketball games will earn men's basketball Rowdy Reptile status. Having men's basketball Rowdy Reptile status will allow students to register for games in advance and also have priority regarding student tickets for post-season basketball games.
* This is a different program than the new Rowdy Reptile Student Rewards. The Rowdy Reptile Student Rewards program does not relate to your student basketball registration.
Students are allotted 2,300 seats for University of Florida men’s basketball games. The first 1,000 students to arrive receive a wristband to sit in the lower level, sections C1 and D1. Students can also sit in sections A2, A3, B3, C3, D3, and E3. O’Connell Center seating chart.
