The 131 points scored set school and O'Connell Center records. It was also the most lopsided victory for a Florida team in the history of the arena and third-largest in school history.
Florida built a 65-31 halftime lead and stretched it to as much as 64 in the second half, cruising to the 59-point win.
Sophomore Mike Miller (pictured at left) led the way for with 19 points. Harvey had 18 points and 12 rebounds. Freshman guard Brett Nelson scored a season-high 18 points. Haslem had 11 rebounds to go with 17 points. Kenyan Weaks scored 15 points with 12 coming in the first half. The Gators shot 56 percent from the field and was 30-43 from the free throw line. Florida coach Billy Donovan was pleased with the total effort by his players. "I thought we played very hard over the entire 40 minutes. The biggest thing I was pleased with was our unselfishness as a basketball team. It was a great win. Everyone contributed with six players in double figures."
The Gators will play host to Florida A&M on Saturday afternoon at the O'Connell Center. Tip-off is scheduled for 2:00.
