Cherry Pickman (#15) and Dena Floyd each turned in a goal in UF's 4-0 win Sunday vs. Missouri.

Four goals by four different players gave the No. 5 University of Florida soccer team a 4-0 win over Missouri Sunday. The Percy Beard crowd of 1,134 watched the Gators control much of the game while out shooting the Tigers 28-4 to notch their second shutout of the season.

Florida improves to 7-0 for the first time since the 1999 season while Missouri drops to 5-2.

Sophomore Cherry Pickman started the Gatorsí scoring early in the first half. Pickmanís goal came courtesy of a midfield free kick off the foot of senior Dena Floyd, whoís high arching serve was redirected by Pickmanís head just in front of the Tiger net at 8:48.

The Gators added their second goal less than 10 minutes later at 17:49 when Candace Rivers squeezed the ball through the Tiger defense and found Stephanie Freeman who converted by finding the far post from well inside the Missouri box.

Floyd started the scoring in the second half when she took the ball almost 30-yards out and hammered home a shot that found the upper right corner at 61:14. Florida Head Coach Becky Burleigh thought that Floyd played one of her better matches of the season on Sunday.

"I thought Dena was the player of the match today," Burleigh said. "She ripped that shot, no keeper was going to stop that. We told her at halftime to start shooting and be more aggressive and she did."

Christine Johnson ended the scoring at 70:27 when she headed home a deep cross courtesy of Monica Hoyles.

Freshman Brittni Goodwin recorded her second career shutout while thwarting away four Tiger scoring chances. Goodwin said it is easy to record a shutout when the defense plays so well.

"Mainly my job is to communicate to the defense when they are playing the way they did today," Goodwin said. "They make my job easy on days like this, but Iíll take the shutout."

Florida starts its first road trip of the season this weekend as the Gators travel to Utah to take on BYU and the Utes on Friday and Sunday, respectively. Both matches will be webcast live on www.gatorzone.com. Fans can check out the action beginning at 9:00 p.m. (ET) on Friday, Sept. 26 when Florida meets BYU.
