Ole Miss put to a halt the Gators' 12-game winning streak in the O'Connell Center
with the win on the road...The Rebels led at the intermission; then connected
on 65 percent (13-of-20) from the field in the second half and 80 percent from
the free throw line (16-of-20) to spoil any Florida comeback...UF shot just 25
percent (6-of-24) from three-point range for the game in losing to Ole Miss for
the third consecutive time...The Rebels' front court tandem of Keith Carter, Marcus
Hicks and Jason Smith combined for 56 of Ole Miss' 79 points (71 percent)...Florida's
28 first half points were a low for a first half at home to date this season...Attendance
for the SEC battle was 12,111 and marked the sixth largest crowd in O'Connell
Center history...It was the first time since 1987 the Gators had back to back
crowds of over 12,000...Greg Stolt led UF with 18 points...Udonis Haslem had a
team-high eight rebounds.
