Two days after appearing in its first Top 25 poll in four years, Florida surpassed its win total for all of the 1997-98 season, improving to 15-3 overall...The win also allowed the Gators to tie their SEC win total (6) for last year...A key 15-0 run over a six minute stretch in the second half propelled the Gators to a 12-point lead at 53-41 with just under 10 minutes remaining...After the break, Florida nailed 7-of-15 from three-point land, including 4-of-6 from behind the arc for Greg Stolt in the second half...Stolt finished tied for the team high in scoring with 14 points...The Gators' 10 three-pointers were the most allowed by Alabama in a game to date this season...UF extended its home winning streak to 11 which tied for the fourth longest stretch in school history...Teddy Dupay tied Stolt for the team lead with 14 points...The Gators held a 25-5 advantage in points off turnovers...Florida's 15-3 record tied the best 18-game start in school history.
