U.S. Pan Pacific Championships Roster

Irvine, Calif. – Gator Greats Ryan Lochte (2002-06) and Elizabeth Beisel (2010-14) each won national championships last week (Aug. 6-10) at the Phillips 66 National Championships at the William Woollett Jr. Aquatics Complex in Irvine, California. Lochte won titles in the 200-meter individual medley (1:56.50) and 4x100 medley relay, while Beisel took top honors in the 400-meter IM (4:32.98).

At the conclusion of the meet, they were each officially named to the 2014 U.S. Pan Pacific Championships roster. Joining them for the Championships will be Conor Dwyer (2006-10) who notched multiple top-5 finishes last week.

In addition to these three, UF had many other alums competing as well as 24 current Florida student-athletes.

Regarding the current Gators, the men were led by junior Arthur Frayler and freshman Caeleb Dressel as they each captured a ninth place finish. Frayler earned his in the 1500-meter freestyle (15:16.28) while Dressel’s came in the 50-meter freestyle (22.50). Junior Natalie Hinds paced the Florida women as she earned her top finish in the 50-meter butterfly with a time of 26.85 seconds to place ninth.

Several Gators posted personal-best times over the five day meet in Irvine.
