2014-15 Florida Menís Golf Schedule


First-year head coach JC Deacon and the University of Florida menís golf squad recently announced the Gatorsí 2014-15 fall, spring and postseason tournament schedules.


The Gators will tee off the fall season at the Carpet Capital Collegiate Classic at The Farm Golf Club in Dalton, Ga., from Sept. 5-7. They will then compete at the Wolf Run Intercollegiate in Zionsville, Ind., on the weekend of Sept. 20-21.


The Orange and Blue will participate in a pair of in-state tournaments during the month of October to complete the fall season Ė traveling to the Tavistock Collegiate Invitational at the Lake Nona Golf & Country Club in Orlando from Oct. 19-21 and playing in the Florida Gulf Coast Invitational at the Old Corkscrew Golf Club in Estero on Oct. 27-28.


To kick off the spring season, Florida will play at the Sea Best Invitational at TPC Sawgrass, home of The Playersí Championship in Ponte Vedra Beach, on Feb. 2-3. Home to one of the PGA Tourís most coveted titles, this event is certain to be one of the many highlights of the season.


Florida will then return to Gainesville to host its only home tournament of the season, the SunTrust Gator Invitational, at the Mark Bostick Golf Course from Feb. 14-15.


The month of March holds a lot of action for the Gators, as the squad will compete in a trio of tournaments. On March 6-7, Florida will head out West for the Desert Mountain Intercollegiate in Scottsdale, Ariz. Then, itís back to the Sunshine State for the Seminole Intercollegiate in Tallahassee from March 13-15. The Chris Schenkel Invitational at Forest Heights Country Club in Statesboro, Ga., from March 20-22 will wrap up the month.


Deaconís crew will close the spring season in its final regular-season tournament at the Old Waverly Collegiate Championship in West Point, Miss., on April 6-7.


The Gators will begin postseason play by traveling to St. Simons Island, Ga., on April 17-19 for the 2015 SEC Championship. The team will be looking to capture its 16th conference title at the Sea Island Golf Club Seaside Course.


The NCAA Regionals will be held at six different sites the weekend of May 14-16: the Sagamore Club in Noblesville, Ind. (Ball State), the Finley Golf Course in Chapel Hill, N.C. (North Carolina), the Farms Golf Club in San Diego, Calif. (UC San Diego), the Rawls Course in Lubbock, Texas (Texas Tech), the Gold Mountain Golf Club in Bremerton, Wash. (Washington) and The Course at Yale in New Haven, Conn. The Concession Golf Club in Bradenton, Fla., will host the NCAA Menís Golf Championship from May 29-31.
