The University of Florida men’s and women’s swimming and diving teams will host an invitational, face a competitive Southeastern Conference slate and take on traditional out-of-conference powers during the 2014-15 season. Head Coach Gregg Troy compiled a schedule that includes six dual meets and the annual All Florida Invitational in the Stephen C. O'Connell Center Natatorium.
The men’s team has experienced great success at home since 2010, as the Gators are unbeaten in their last 17 dual meets in the O’Dome. During that span, Florida has recorded an outstanding 17-1-1 mark in Gainesville, last falling in the 2010 season opener. UF hosts three dual meets this season including meets against LSU (Oct. 10), Minnesota (Nov. 8) and Tennessee (Jan. 31).
Florida’s women’s squad has posted a solid
14-3 mark over the past four seasons in the O’Dome. UF will hosts four dual
meets this season against Arkansas (Sept. 27), LSU (Oct. 10), Minnesota (Nov.
8) and Tennessee (Jan. 31).
In addition, Florida will host the All Florida Invitational from October 3-5, when both teams will look to win its fifth consecutive title.
Head Coach Gregg Troy on both squads schedules this upcoming season:
“There is a lot of good competition on our schedule this year, which is going to us a good idea of where we are at in the fall. We will be going against some very good teams from a variety of conferences.”
UF will travel to Auburn for the SEC Championships which will take place from February 17-21. Three weeks later, Gator Divers will compete at the NCAA Zone B Diving Championships in Athens, Georgia from March 11-13.
The men's and women's NCAA Championships are being held in separate cities again this year with the women's championships in Greensboro, N.C., (March 19-21) and the men's in Iowa City, Iowa (March 26-28).
