Tuesday July 15, 2014Gator All-American Senior Trio to Attend ESPYs on Wednesday

Three Gator All-America seniors are off to Los Angeles to attend Wednesday’s ESPYs at the Nokia Theater. Softball pitcher Hannah Rogers along with gymnasts Mackenzie Caquatto and Alaina Johnson will represent the Gator Women’s Athletics as the program will be honored as the winner of the 2014 women’s Capital One Cup.

While in L.A., the Gators will be taking the Capital One Cup along Tuesday as they tour L.A. landmarks. Check out the PHOTOS of the Gators and Cup, as they join two male athletes from the Notre Dame athletics department that won the men’s Cup.

 

Wednesday is the ESPYs and the Gators will walk the red carpet and then attend the ESPYs ceremony (9 p.m. ET on ESPN) where the UF program will be presented $200,000 from Capital One. The money will be added to the UF Athletics Scholarship Endowment fund.

 

Rogers also is a candidate for the 2014 Top Female College Athlete of the Year. Votes are being counted through July 16 so go online now to vote for Hannah.
