Leak led Florida to National and SEC Championships in 2006, and finished his career as the Gators’ all-time passing leader
(11,213 yards). He threw for 88 touchdowns, second-most in school history, and earned SEC Freshman of the Year honors in 2003. Leak was a finalist for the Draddy Trophy (“Academic Heisman”), was named the Outstanding Male Leader for his graduating class and was an active member of the Goodwill Gators Program. After graduation, he won the 2009 Grey Cup during a three-year career in the Canadian Football League and spent one season in the Arena Football League.

Leak guided the Gators to a bowl berth in each of his four seasons, and finished his career by earning Offensive MVP honors in the 2007 BCS National Championship Game, when UF defeated Ohio State 41-14. The Orange and Blue were 37-14 from 2003-06, and the four-year letterwinner was responsible for 101 touchdowns (88 passing, 13 rushing). Leak compiled a 35-12 record as a starter, including a 23-9 mark against SEC opponents. Along with former Heisman Trophy winner Danny Wuerffel, Leak is one of two UF quarterbacks to defeat Tennessee, Georgia and Florida State five straight times.

Now back in Gainesville, fans can hear from Leak as he begins his second season on the UF coaching staff.
