Shannon Gilroy continues to rack up post-season honors, adding 2014 Lacrosse Magazine All-American to her resume. The Lacrosse Magazine First Team of All-Americans is a starting lineup of four attackers, three midfielders, four defenders and one goalkeeper, per NCAA standards.
Gilroy, a 2014 Tewaaraton Finalist, led the nation in goals (86) this season. She also led Florida in points (106), assists (20), draw controls (82) and caused turnovers (24), while recording 24 ground balls. This season, Gilroy set or tied 13 program records and became the first Gator to score 100+ points in a single season.
The junior was named the 2014 ALC Midfield Player of the Year, ALC Tournament MVP and was an All-ALC First Team selection. She was also named a Honda Sports Award nominee, IWLCA First Team All-American, All-ILWomen Team selection, WomensLax.com All-American and the WomensLax.com Midfielder of the Year.
