#VoteHannah: Rogers Chosen as Finalist for 2014 Softball Senior Class Award
Hannah Rogers is one of 10 softball finalists for the 2014 Senior CLASS Award. Fans can vote at www.seniorCLASSaward.com each day through May 12. Fan votes will be combined with ballots from media and coaches to determine the winner. The award will be presented at the Women’s College World Series.

A four-time All-SEC and three-time All-America and All-Southeast Region selection, Rogers is the second pitcher in program history to win 100 games. She is the nation’s active career leader in wins, and also was named to the 2013 SEC Academic Honor Roll.

Gators Keep No. 1 Ranking in Latest NCAA RPI
Florida remains No. 1 in the latest Ratings Percentage Index, released Monday by the NCAA. The Gators are one of four Southeastern Conference teams in the index’s top 10. Georgia checks in at No. 3.

UF Owns Three of Last Six SEC Tournament Titles

Florida has won the SEC Tournament three times in the last six seasons (2008 - Baton Rouge, La.; 2009 - Knoxville, Tenn.; 2013 - Lexington, Ky.). The Gators’ three crowns are the most in the conference during that span. Overall, UF’s trio of tournament championships ranks third in the league (Alabama, LSU - 5 each).

Orange and Blue Excel in Postseason Play

The Gators are 71-54 (.568) all-time in postseason games. This includes a 22-23 (.489) record in the SEC Tournament and a 49-31 (.613) mark in the NCAA Tournament.

Gator Bites—Setting Up the Tournament
Florida is 45-10 (15-9 SEC), while Georgia has a 42-12-24 (15-9 SEC) record… The Gators lead the all-time series against the Bulldogs 33-22… UF is 3-2 all-time in five postseason meetings with the Bulldogs (3-1 in the SEC Tournament, 0-1 in the Women’s College World Series).

If Florida defeats Georgia on Thursday, the Gators will advance to Friday’s second semifinal against Alabama, South Carolina or Auburn. That contest would air on ESPNU at 5:30 p.m. Saturday’s championship game is set for 8 p.m. on ESPN2.

UF is the defending SEC Tournament champion, and the Gators are trying to win back-to-back conference championships for the second time in program history (also: 2008-09). The only team besides Florida to win consecutive SEC Tournament titles is LSU, which accomplished the feat in 2001-02.

Looking Back: Arkansas

The Orange and Blue closed out the regular season last weekend with a three-game sweep at Arkansas… Florida outscored the Razorbacks 24-4 during the series… Lauren Haeger and Briana Little both hit two home runs, part of an eight-homer weekend for the visitors… Haeger blasted a grand slam on Saturday, marking Florida’s SEC-best eighth bases-loaded home run of the season… Kelsey Stewart stole two bases during the weekend and tied for the team lead (Taylor Schwarz) with four runs scored… The sophomore drove in four runs to join Haeger (7) and Little (5) as Gators with multiple RBI during the series… Haeger threw a shutout on Saturday, allowing seven hits with no walks and three strikeouts… The junior extended her scoreless streak to 14.0 innings dating back to April 26 vs. Missouri… Rogers earned complete-game victories on Friday and Sunday, allowing a total of four runs (two earned) on six hits with five walks and 15 strikeouts.
