The men's and women's field of 64 will be announced Tuesday evening.

The NCAA Menís and Womenís Tennis Committees will reveal the 64-team menís and womenís NCAA Championships team draws on Tuesday, April 29, beginning at 5 p.m. ET.

 

The top 16 teams as deemed by the selection committee will play host to the first and second rounds of the NCAA Team Championships, with the winner of each advancing the championship site. This year, the Dan Magill Tennis Complex in Athens, Georgia, plays host to the 12-day menís and womenís combined event, May 15-26, 2014.

 

NCAA Selection Show at a Glance

         The NCAA Tennis Selection Show is scheduled for Tue., April 29.

         The menís selection show will begin at 5 p.m. ET and the womenís selections revealed beginning at 5:30 p.m.

         The entire show will be available only online through NCAA.com.

         Both menís and womenís selections for the individual NCAA Singles (64 players) and Doubles (32 teams) Championships will be released on the NCAA website by 6 p.m. EST on Wed., April 30.

 

First & Second Round Information

         For sites selected to host both menís and womenís opening round matches:

         May 9: Two Womenís First Round matches

         May 10: Two Menís First Round matches, followed by Womenís Second Round match

         May 11: Menís Second Round match

 

Florida Women at the NCAA Championships

         UF has been selected to host first and second round matches every year since the NCAA Women's Championships expanded its field to 64 teams in 1999.

         The Gators have participated in the 31 of the 32 NCAA Championships, missing only the 1986 event.

         The Gators won NCAA team titles in 1992, 1996, 1998, 2003, 2011 and 2012.

         UF has advanced to at least the NCAA Semifinals 22 times in the last 26 years, including last season when the team fell 4-3 to eventual champion Stanford.

 

Florida Men at the NCAA Championships

         UF has been selected to host first and second round matches 12 of the 15 years since the NCAA Menís Championships expanded its field to 64 teams in 1999 (did not host in 2001, 2006 and 2007).

         Gators head coach Bryan Shelton has UF poised to earn its second berth in as many years under his tutelage.

         Florida has made the NCAA Menís Championships for 23 consecutive years, dating back to 1991.

         The Gator men have advanced to the NCAA semifinals twice, with its last semifinals appearance coming in 2005 when UF fell to eventual runner-up Baylor, 4-1, in College Station. †
