Florida (27-13/12-6 SEC) captured all four of its games last week to increase its winning streak to six games…After downing Florida Gulf Coast, 7-1, in Fort Myers on Tuesday, the Gators posted their first sweep of SEC Eastern Division rival Georgia since 2010 by scores of 3-2, 8-1 and 10-3 at McKethan Stadium…Florida is tied atop the league standings with Alabama (28-12/12-6 SEC) and leads South Carolina (30-10/10-8 SEC) by two games in the East…The Gators improved to 18-6 (.750) at home this year and are 4-2 (.667) in their league series…Junior catcher Taylor Gushue (.345, 35 RBI) went 4-for-9 (.444) in the series with the Bulldogs, while sophomore outfielder Harrison Bader (.271, 9 RBI) went 4-for-10 (.400) with a team-high five RBI….Gushue is riding a career-high 14-game hitting streak in which he is 21-for-55 (.382) with 17 RBI and 10 runs…All three Gator starting pitchers on the weekend, freshman RHP Logan Shore (4-2, 1.83), sophomore RHP Aaron Rhodes (4-2, 2.51) and sophomore LHP Danny Young (5-0, 1.80), collected victories, while the pitching corps registered a 2.00 ERA (6 runs in 27 innings), with 25 strikeouts and four walks…Playing their third game in less than 24 hours, UF tallied three runs in the first and four more in the second inning en route to a 10-3 win on Easter Sunday…Trailing 1-0 in the first inning, the Gators answered with three runs in the bottom of the frame, highlighted by a two-run triple from Bader (3-for-3, three RBI, two runs)….Junior Casey Turgeon (2-for-4, three runs, two RBI) had led off with a single and sophomore Richie Martin (.298, 19 RBI) was hit by a pitch before Bader cleared the bases with his second triple of the year…After Gushue (2-for-4, two RBI) walked, junior Braden Mattson (.321, 22 RBI) plated Bader with his third sacrifice fly of the year…Florida added four more runs in the second to build a 7-1 advantage…Freshman John Sternagel (.295, 11 RBI) and Turgeon started the frame with walks, ending the afternoon for Patrick Boling (1.0 IP, 3 H, 5 R)….A fielder’s choice by Martin loaded the bases and Bader delivered an RBI single through the left side…Gushue extended his hitting streak to 14 games with a two-run single into left field and freshman Peter Alonso (.275, 16 RBI) lofted a sacrifice fly into center field for a six-run margin…Turgeon clubbed a two-run shot in the fifth for his fourth big fly of the season and freshman Buddy Reed finalized the scoring with a sacrifice fly…Young improved to 5-0 on the season after working five innings in which he scattered eight hits and yielded two runs…A six-run fourth inning lifted the Gators to an 8-1 victory, a doubleheader sweep and a series win over UGA on Saturday…Florida batted around the order in the big inning and tallied six RBI on four hits, two sacrifice hits, two walks and a hit batter…UF pitchers forced the Bulldogs to strand 11 runners on base, including a pair of innings with the bases loaded…Rhodes pitched 5.1 efficient innings to collect the victory and freshman Kirby Snead (1-0, 3.10) (2.1 IP, 2 H, 2 K) and freshman Dane Dunning (1.1 IP) held Georgia off the scoreboard the rest of the way…Sternagel hit his first career homer in the fifth to snap a 2-2 tie and the Gators held on to a 3-2 lead to take game one over Georgia in the series opener…Shore (4-2) earned the win after scattering a pair of runs on six hits in five innings…Junior left-hander Bobby Poyner (3-3, 3.99) fired four shutout innings of relief for his third save of the year…Poyner allowed two Bulldogs to reach base and struck out a career-best seven…Florida will have five games at McKethan Stadium this week, facing Jacksonville (13-25/7-10 A-Sun) on Tuesday and Florida A&M (17-21/10-7 MEAC) on Wednesday before hosting Missouri (17-21/6-12 SEC) for three games starting Friday night…The Gators are 8-1 (.889) at home in SEC action, while Mizzou will be making its first visit to Gainesville as a member of the SEC.
