Monday April 14, 2014UAA Announces Implementation of Gators Fan Advisory Council
The University of Florida Athletic Association has announced the implementation of the Gators Fan Advisory Council to assist the UAA, Inc., in the evaluation and enhancement of the overall fan experience at Gator football games, while representing broader interests of The Gator Nation.
Members of the Gators Fan Advisory Council will meet quarterly with administrators and staff in an effort to express their suggestions concerning the overall game-day experience in The Swamp.
The Fan Advisory Council will be comprised of approximately twelve 2014 football season-ticket holders, representing a cross-section of fans. Applicants must be at least 21 years of age, with the exception of University of Florida undergraduate students, who must have completed their freshman undergraduate term by May 2014 and have been student season-ticket holders for the 2013 football season and entered the lottery for the 2014 season.
“We have evaluated and continue to address how we can connect our fans to our program,” said Athletics Director Jeremy Foley. “This is another step in that direction.”
Members of the Fan Advisory Council will serve for one athletic year, beginning in July 2014.
Applications are open and will be accepted until Monday, April 28, 2014. To apply to become a Fan Advisory Council member, simply click here and complete the online application. Those selected to the Fan Advisory Council will be notified in June by a University Athletic Association representative.
