Tuesday April 8, 2014Florida Football Announces VIP Student Experience Social Media Contest
GAINESVILLE, Fla.—The Florida football team wraps up spring practices this week, culminating with the 2014 Orange & Blue Debut, presented by Sunniland, on Saturday. In a new social media initiative for the fans, the program invites fans to show their support for Team Orange and Team Blue.
Gator fans everywhere will be able to display their loyalty to the orange and blue on their personal social media profiles, such as Twitter and Facebook.
Beginning Tuesday, April 8, students and fans will be able to show their allegiance to their “team color”, cheering on team orange or team blue via social media. Fans will be able to show support for their team by using their team hashtags (#TeamOrangeUF and #TeamBlueUF) and by downloading cover photos, headers, and background photos from the Florida Gators Facebook page.
UF students who participate in this promotion will be entered into a contest for a behind-the-scenes game day experience during the Orange & Blue Debut. UF students are encouraged to use #TeamOrangeUF and #TeamBlueUF to participate.
One UF student who shows their support for Team Orange and one student cheering for Team Blue will have the opportunity to bring a friend and participate in the team’s game day activities, including the following:
Behind-the-Scenes Game Day Experience
On-Field for Warm-ups
Run out of the Tunnel with the Team
Sideline Pass for the Game
During halftime, one lucky UF student will have the opportunity to kick a field goal from a set yardage for the chance to win free Pepsi. If the kick is good, one section in the stands will win a coupon for free Pepsi to take to participating retailers. The winning student will receive free Pepsi for one year.
Also at halftime, select students will participate in an on-field football contest representing their team, Orange or Blue for a chance to win prizes.
Please note that halftime contests are subject to change.
