Wednesday March 12, 2014VIDEO: Head Coach Roland Thornqvist Previewed Huge Road Weekend

Gainesville, Fla.

UF head coach Roland Thornqvist met with the media on Monday as part of the UF All Sports Press Conference.

 

The No. 3-ranked Gators (11-2, 3-0 SEC) continue their five-match SEC road trip this week, first playing at No. 49 Tennessee on Friday and at No. 12 Georgia on Sunday.

 

Florida defeated South Carolina, 4-0, on Saturday in Columbia, S.C., in the teamís only match last week.

 

During the victory against the Gamecocks:

         Senior Sofie Oyen improved to 60-17 all-time in dual match singles matches, including 28-2 in SEC matches.

         Sophomore Brianna Morgan won her 25th career doubles matches.

         Freshman Kourtney Keegan won her team-leading 25th doubles match this season.

         Alexandra Cercone is now 68-12 in career singles dual matches, as well as 30-4 in SEC action.

         Morgan secured her 20th overall singles victory of the year and improved to 10-1 in SEC competition.
