Thursday March 6, 2014No. 5 Gators Host Michigan to Open ALC Play
The No. 5 Florida Gators will play their first conference game of the season on Saturday as they host the Michigan Wolverines. Florida returns to Dizney after a successful two-game road trip to Stony Brook and Loyola. Michigan, which is in its inaugural season, has opened with an 0-3 record. At the helm of the Wolverines’ program is Jenny Ulehla, who was an assistant coach at Florida from 2008-2010, helping Coach O’Leary establish the program and lead the Gators in their first season. Overall, Florida holds a 15-5 regular season record in the American Lacrosse Conference and has won the regular-season title each of the last three years.

Familiar Faces on the Field

Darcy Messina and Kim Coughlan spent two years playing together and helped lead St. Anthony’s to two new York State Catholic High School championships. There will also be a familiar face on the sidelines as Michigan head coach Jenny Ulehla makes her return to Gainesville.
