Quoting UF head coach Amanda Butler:

On South Carolina not just being a strong defensive team as in year’s past:

“They are very, very balanced. They also have been somewhat of a guard in the past few years and they’re very much inside-out this year. They do a great job of being really, really patient and disciplined. They shot selection is the one thing that has been the most outstanding about their offense. They are very capable of scoring in a lot of different spots and in a lot of different ways. They are very selective.”

On the match-up between UF’s Ronni Williams and SC’s Alaina Coates – two of the top freshmen post players in the SEC:

“It’s a great indication of where the league is at right now, to have such talented freshmen and what it’s going to look like for the next few years. Coates has had an amazing freshman year and I think she’s one of the best young players in the country.”
