Becky Burleigh says…

“Jessie is somebody that has played as an attacking role on some of her teams, but we’re looking at her mostly as a defender which is a spot we’d like to have a little more depth in. Jessie kind of came to our attention late, but we were excited that she was still available and we’re looking forward to the contribution she’ll make.”

Cassie Owens

Becky Burleigh says…

“One of the best things about (Cassie) competing in Colorado is that the competition is awesome; whether it’s high school or club, there are some great teams out there. She’s pretty much played her entire youth career against some of the best players in the country. What we like about her are her intangibles. She plays with a lot of heart, she’s a great athlete and she brings a lot of competitiveness to the teams she plays on. We think she can play pretty much anywhere for us, maybe except goalkeeper. She’s a forward by nature and we expect that’s probably where she’ll play for us.”

Talise Romain

Four-star recruit by TopDrawerSoccer.com…Team Chicago team captain…Participated in the 2013 U.S. Youth Soccer Olympic Development Program (ODP) Girls Thanksgiving Interregional in Boca Raton, Fla.,…Member of the 2013 Interregional 1996 Region II Team Olympic Development Program (ODP)…2013 Region II 1996 Olympic Development Program (ODP) pool player…one of four from Neuqua Valley High School to sign national letters of intent in 2014 with division I soccer programs…played three years with Neuqua Valley H.S. (season begins in March of 2104)…Neuqua Valley won 3A regional titles in 2011, 2012 and 2013…Will graduate from Neuqua Valley H.S. this spring.

Becky Burleigh says…

“Talise is from Chicago and she comes from a club system that really works hard at developing their players and she’s really benefitted from that. She plays very similar to the way we play. Her style of play and her ability to keep possession of the ball is really important. She’s also a defender, so she’s someone we look forward to come and make an immediate contribution.”

The Gator soccer team shared the 2013 Southeastern Conference title and ranked 10th on the final National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) poll.
