Last Friday in Meeting of Nationís Top Two Teams:

Florida is coming off one of the nationís top dual meets of the 2014 season. It was No. 1 Oklahoma versus No. 2 Florida and the Gators took a 197.875-197.225 win over the Sooners. Sophomore Bridget Sloan used the nationís top total of the season of 39.75 to take her third consecutive all-around title in front of a Stephen C. OíConnell Center crowd of 7,260. Another Gator turned in the nationís top mark when junior Kytra Hunter posted her second consecutive 10.0 floor exercise mark. Of the four Gators to turn in perfect floor scores, she is the first to do it multiple times. Sloan and Hunter shared the eveningís vault title with identical 9.95 marks. Sloan also won the bars (9.90) and beam (9.95), giving her four event titles for the second time in 2014 (also at Auburn on Jan. 17). Another Gator turned in a collegiate best in the UF-OU dual as freshman Claire Boyce was second on beam at 9.90.

Sloan Picks up SEC Gymnasts of the Week:

After using the nationís leading all-around total of 39.75 to win the dual versus No. 1 Oklahoma, Bridget Sloan is the recipient of the Feb. 4 Southeastern Conference Gymnast of the Week honor.

That all-around total equals Sloanís collegiate best for the fourth time, with the last coming in 2013 NCAA Super Six competition. She has won at least a share of the last three all-around titles and each of her winning totals rank as the nationís No. 1 (39.75) or No. 2 (39.70) marks of 2014.

Sloan shared the eveningís vault title with Kytra Hunter at a Florida season-high 9.95. She used the same mark to win balance beam and also claimed the uneven bars title at 9.90. It was the second time this season Sloan took four event titles in a single meet.

This season, Sloan leads the Gators with 11 event titles.
