Quotes from the Court

UF head coach Amanda Butler on Ole Miss:

“Ole Miss is a team that is very talented and very hungry. A few shots here and few rebounds there and their record could be just the same as everyone else’s. I don’t think their record is any indication of the type of team they are. They have a winning attitude and they battle every single night. They are very, very difficult to play at home. We are going to have to play great basketball.”

Coach Butler on Ole Miss senior point guard Valencia McFarland:

“Valencia (McFarland) is just a nightmare. I have great respect for her game: the way runs her team and at the same time picks her spots to be a scorer. She is the personification of something we’ve tried to live out in that smaller is better. She finds ways to get to the rim. She has a very, very complete skill set. She’ll attack you either way. She has a good midrange game and also is capable of knocking down 3’s. She is a scoring, playmaking point guard every single time she has the ball in her hands, regardless if she’s 90 feet from the basket or she’s coming off a screen or on the week side of the zone. She’s just really capable of hurting you in a lot of different ways.”
