FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. -- For the second consecutive week, the No. 2 and No. 4 Gator men’s and women’s track and field squads will compete at USTFCCCA’s Division I National Meet of the Week – this time when the Orange and Blue head west to Fayetteville, Ark., for competition at the Razorback Invitational at the Randal Tyson Track Center Jan. 31-Feb 1.

 

Gator fans wishing to follow along can do so via Live Results. CST will additionally broadcast the meet for tape-delay programming, air date to be announced.

 

The Gators are coming off a successful weekend at the Rod McCravy Memorial Jan. 24-25, where Florida hit five of the second-best marks in the nation so far this season, including junior jumper Ciarra Brewer (TJ | 13.33m/43-9), senior sprinter Ebony Eutsey (400m | 52.76), sophomore sprinter Arman Hall (400m | 45.84) and senior middle-distance runner Sean Obinwa (800m | 1:48.20) in individual action, while Florida’s women’s DMR (Greene, Eutsey, Strausa & McGee) clocked the second-fastest time in school history and in the country with an 11:00.16.

 

Florida claimed seven event victories at the Rod McCravy, along with two meet records at Nutter Field House from Brewer and the UF men’s 4x4 quartet (Uruburu, Graham, Jr., Schnulle & Hall).

 

Sophomore Robin Reynolds additionally still holds the second-best mark in the nation in the long jump from UF’s season-opening UAB Invitational (6.38m/20-11.25).

 

In terms of league standings, Florida holds the top performances in the Southeastern Conference in the W400m (Eutsey), M800m (Obinwa), W3000m (Cory McGee), M60mH (Lovett), M&W DMR and WLJ (Reynolds-tie) heading to Fayetteville.

This weekend’s competition kicks off in Arkansas at 1 p.m. (ET) Friday with the pentathlon and heptathlon events, both the 60mH and 60m dash prelims, the 200m dash and several field events, including the pole vault and long jump, both featuring Gator competitors. Action resumes Saturday at the Randal Tyson Track Center at approximately 1 p.m. (ET).

LAST TIME OUT FOR THE GATORS | Rod McCravy Memorial

·         Junior Ciarra Brewer jumped her way to a meet record, season-best mark and the second-best performance in the nation (13.33m/43-9) in the triple jump.

·         Sophomore Arman Hall (400m, 45.84) and seniors Sean Obin­wa (800m, 1:48.20) and Ebony Eutsey (400m, 52.76) joined Brewer with the second-best marks in the nation in their respective events.

·         Hall’s performance in the 400m was record-book worthy as the sophomore jumped to the No. 7 spot on UF’s top-10 list.

·         Defending NCAA Indoor Champ senior Eddie Lovett (7.70) clocked the third-fastest 60mH in the nation so far this season.

·         Florida’s men’s 4x4 of Nick Uruburu,Hugh Graham, Jr., Ryan Schnulle & Hall set a new Rod McCravy meet record (3:07.20).

·         Florida’s women’s DMR, composed of Rebekah Greene, Ebony Eutsey, Agata Strausa & Cory McGee cruised to an 11:00.16, the fastest time in the SEC, second-fastest in school history and in the nation so far this season. Florida finished second at the Rod Mc­Cravy behind Oregon in the DMR.
