Florida’s Michael Frazier II earned SEC Player of the Week honors for the first time in his career, as announced by the league office on Monday.
Frazier averaged 17.5 points, three rebounds and 2.5 assists to help led the Gators to victories over Alabama and Tennessee. He was the leading scorer in both contests, connecting on five three-pointers against the Crimson Tide for the fifth time this season, which is more than any UF player had last year. Frazier also matched a career-best three assists and was perfect from the charity stripe all week.
Frazier shot 63 percent from the floor against Tennessee and pulled down four boards. He is averaging 12.3 points per game on the season, ranking second in the SEC in three-point field goal percentage.
Florida travels to Starkville to take on Mississippi State on Thursday as they look to remain the only unbeaten team in the conference.
