Friday December 20, 2013Gator Baseball Select-A-Seat Event To Precede Men's Basketball Game on January 4

Gainesville, Fla.

The 2014 Gator Baseball Select-A-Seat Event will be an opportunity for fans to enter McKethan Stadium to choose their seats for the historic 100th season of Florida Baseball. New fans will be able to see what seats are available for purchase and current season-ticket holders are invited to attend, explore upgrade options and exchange their seats if they wish. 


When: Saturday, Jan. 4, 2014

·         The event will be held from 12-2 p.m., with the Gator men’s basketball game vs. Richmond tipping off at 3 p.m. in the Stephen C. O’Connell Center


Parking Information:

·         Parking in the garage adjacent to the O’Connell Center is first-come, first-serve


McKethan Stadium:

·         Fans can enter through the main gate in the O’Connell Center Lot or an additional gate along Stadium Road

·         Fans will enter through either gate; they will be provided with a map that has pricing on one side, with season-ticket information & pricing on the other side

·         Fans will then be able to walk around to “Select a Seat” 

·         Any seat available will have tape on it, any seat without tape will not be available for purchase 

·         Fans will be able to purchase seats on the day of the event at the main entrance gate Ticket Office, as well as at the additional gate located down the right-field line of McKethan Stadium along Stadium Road

·         All a fan will need to do is take their order form to a ticket window at that time


Season tickets can also be purchased online at or by calling the Gator Ticket Office at 1-800-34-GATOR from 8:30 a.m. - 5 p.m., Monday through Friday.


The Gators' 56-game schedule features 34 games within the friendly confines of McKethan Stadium at Perry Field, where the squad is 175-50 (.778) during head coach Kevin O’Sullivan’s six-year tenure. In addition to the season-opening, three-game series against Maryland from Friday-Sunday, Feb. 14-16, Florida will also welcome traditional Sunshine State rivals Florida State (March 18), Florida A&M (April 23), Florida Atlantic (April 1), Florida Gulf Coast (Feb. 27 & March 1), Jacksonville (April 22), North Florida (Feb. 19), UCF (April 2) and USF (May 13).


Other foes who will visit include Connecticut (March 7-9), Illinois (Feb. 28 & March 2), Illinois State (March 12) and Mercer (May 6). The five, three-game SEC home series pit the Gators against Arkansas (March 14-16), LSU (March 28-30), Georgia (April 18-20), Missouri (April 25-27) and Vanderbilt (May 9-11).
