Friday November 22, 2013Gators Sign Two for 2014-15, Acquire a Transfer for Spring

Gainesville, Fla.

Florida men’s golf announces the signing of Ramsey Touchberry and Ryan Celano to National Letters of Intent for the 2014-15 class. The Gators also acquire transfer, Richard Donegan, for the upcoming spring season. Donegan will begin school in January and has the opportunity to play right away.

“We’re excited to have Richard Donegan this spring,” head coach Buddy Alexander said. “He’s won a couple college tournaments and won the 2011 FHSAA Class 2A state championship.  He’s a winner. He’s coming into a situation where he has the opportunity to play right away and have a huge impact on our program. We couldn’t feel better about him.”

“Ramsey Touchberry is a great looking player who has about as good of a golf swing as I have ever seen. He has had solid finishes and loves to compete. He will definitely have an opportunity to step in and play next fall, as will Ryan Celano who is a great athlete. Ryan has tremendous length, great pedigree as his dad is a golf professional. The sky is the limit for him. We have great freshmen who have the chance to have a huge impact for us.”
