Becky Burleigh met with the media Monday morning.

Head Coach Becky Burleigh talked with the media as part of UF’s All Sports Press Conference on Monday.

No. 12 Florida continued Southeastern Conference play on the road this past weekend. On Friday, Florida defeated Mississippi State in Starkville 1-0 in double overtime.

The Gators meet a pair of teams holding the No. 1 and No. 2 positions in the current SEC standings in a pair of home matches next weekend. Florida takes on Kentucky (11-2-1, SEC 5-1-0) in their annual Kicking for the Cure game on Friday, Oct. 18. The Wildcats are among a three-way tie for second in the SEC. Match time is set for 6:30 p.m. To finish the weekend, the Gators take on SEC leader LSU (9-3-2, SEC 5-0-1) on Sunday, Oct. 20 at 1 p.m.

Both matches will be aired on SUN/FSN. Audio and stats for Friday’s match can be found on The first 500 fans in attendance will receive a pink Kicking for the Cure hat in support of breast cancer awareness month. Also, The Gator soccer team will be signing autographs after the match.
