GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Florida pitcher Keenan Kish missed most of last season because of a hip injury. A redshirt junior, Kish is once again healthy and ready for the start of fall practice on Saturday.

The Gators’ regular season doesn’t start until Feb. 14, but around McKethan Stadium, preparation is in full swing.

Florida baseball announced Tuesday that 2014 season tickets are now on sale. Season tickets can be purchased online at www.GatorZone.com/tickets or by calling the Gator Ticket Office at 1-800-34-GATOR from 8:30 a.m. - 5 p.m., Monday through Friday.

The deadline to renew season tickets is Thursday, Dec. 12, at 5 p.m

Kish was on the mound in the final game at McKethan Stadium in 2012 when he earned his first career save in Game 2 of the Gainesville Super Regional against N.C. State.

After a season away, Kish’s return is one reason the Gators are hoping for bigger and better things in 2014 than a year ago. The Gators advanced to the NCAA Regionals for the sixth consecutive season but saw their season end with back-to-back losses in the Bloomington (Ind.) Regional.

Kish is ready to add more memories to his Florida career.

“The best moment so far – and I have to say there have been a lot of good ones – but I’d have to say closing out the Super Regional against North Carolina State,’’ Kish told GatorVision this week. “That was a great experience. Hopefully I can experience that again this year.”

Florida head coach Kevin O’Sullivan has plenty of reasons for optimism heading into the 2014 campaign, the program’s centennial season and O’Sullivan’s seventh year in charge.

O’Sullivan signed the nation’s No. 1 recruiting class and besides the return of Kish, right-hander Karsten Whitson returns after missing last season to an injury.

Outfielder Harrison Bader, an All-SEC Freshman last season, is one of six regular starters returning. Bader joins Taylor Gushue (C), Richie Martin (SS), Casey Turgeon (2B), Justin Shafer (OF) and Josh Tobias (3B) as regulars back in 2014.

Here is more information on the upcoming season and season tickets:

The Gators' 56-game schedule features 34 home games. The Gators are 175-50 (.778) under O’Sullivan. Florida opens the season at home with a three-game series against Maryland (Feb. 16-18).
