Sunday September 29, 2013Florida Football Rises Two Spots to No. 18 in AP Poll

Gainesville, Fla.

After taking down SEC-East rival Kentucky for the 27th-straight year, the Gators rose two posts in the Associated Press Poll, to No. 18, and stayed at No. 19 in the USA Today Coaches Poll released Sunday. The Gators will continue SEC play on Oct. 5, when they host Arkansas. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. and will be broadcast by ESPN2.

 

There are seven teams from the SEC currently ranked in the polls. Among the eight teams remaining on Florida’s schedule, there are four top-15 teams present in rankings: No. 10/11 LSU (Oct. 12 in Baton Rouge, La.), No. 6 Georgia (Oct. 27 in Jacksonville, Fla.), No. 13/12 South Carolina (Nov. 16 in Columbia, S.C.) and No. 8 Florida State (Nov. 30 in The Swamp).
