The Gators place five on the first and second teams for the second consecutive year as senior attack Kitty Cullen (Rockville, Md.) becomes the first three-time All-American for Florida as she earns first team honors.  Seniors Brittany Dashiell (Bel Air, Md.) and Mikey Meagher (Liverpool, N.Y.) repeat as first team selections.

Senior defender Sam Farrell (Millersville, Md.) and sophomore midfielder Shannon Gilroy (Northport, N.Y.) earns spots on the second team.  Florida’s five honorees is the most for any school on the list and tie with Maryland for most first team honorees.

Cullen leads the Gators with a team-high 61 points on 48 goals and 18 assists.  Dashiell and Gilroy pace Florida’s potent offense that scores 15.05 goals per game as they both have recorded 50 goals this season.  The duo also combines for the team-highs in draw controls with Gilroy leading the way with 59 and Dashiell following closely with 54.

Farrell and Meagher create some of Florida’s biggest weapons on the defensive side, allowing their opponent to score just 6.50 goals per game which ranks second nationally. Meagher has a .504 save percentage on the season with 113 saves and holds a 6.54 goals-against average. Farrell has recorded a single-season high 24 caused turnovers and scooped up 25 ground balls.

A total of 48 athletes from 26 institutions earn All-American distinctions for the 2013 season. They will be honored at the IWLCA All-American banquet on May 25, 2013 at the Radisson Hotel Valley Forge in King Prussia, Pa.

The No. 4 seed Gators (18-2) head to the NCAA Quarterfinals this Saturday in Syracuse, N.Y. to face the Orange (17-3) at the Carrier Dome in a 2 p.m. opening draw on Sun Sports.
