Friday March 22, 2013No. 3 Softball and Arkansas to Play DH Friday, One Game Saturday Due to Projected Inclement Weather Sunday
Due to projected inclement weather in the Gainesville area Sunday, March 24, the No. 3 University of Florida softball squad will play a doubleheader with Arkansas Friday at 6 p.m. (ET), with game two at approximately 8:30 p.m. (ET), while the third game of the series will be played at the originally slated 3 p.m. first pitch Saturday.
Following an 11-0 mid-week run-rule over non-conference opponent USC Upstate, the No. 3 Florida softball team will swing back into conference action with a three-game home series versus the Arkansas Razorbacks this weekend at Katie Seashole Pressly Stadium. First pitch Friday is slated for 6 p.m. ET, with game two directly following at approximately 8:30 p.m. The series finale will be Saturday at 3 p.m. (ET).
Florida (28-3, 4-2 SEC), which put together a combined one-hit shutout against the Upstate Spartans Wednesday, will continue its eight-game home stand with the three-game set against Arkansas (21-10, 0-3 SEC), and the Orange and Blue enter the series with a 15-game win streak over the Hogs. Florida went 3-0 against Arkansas in Fayetteville last season and the Gators own an 18-5 advantage over the Razorbacks in Gainesville.
