Kentucky’s Alexis Gross is the SEC Specialist of the Week while Georgia’s Brandie Jay and Alabama’s Lauren Beers shared the Freshman of the Week award. This is the league’s final weekly honors for 2013 as the regular season concluded last weekend.

Last Saturday, Sloan used the nation’s top all-around total of the weekend, 39.70, to share the all-around win at No. 7 Utah. The all-around win was the fourth of her career. That mark ranks No. 3 among the nation’s all-around totals of 2013, trailing the 39.80 by teammate Kytra Hunter and Sloan’s 39.75 set on March 1.

Sloan also took her second consecutive and fourth overall balance beam title at 9.95. She was second after equaling her collegiate-bars best of 9.975.

In the latest national rankings, Sloan owns top 20 standings in four of the five events, including sharing first on bars with teammate Mackenzie Caquatto with regional qualifying scores of 9.945. Sloan is No. 2 in both all-around (39.590) and beam (9.910) as well as shares No. 17 in vault (9.905).

Sloan shares Florida’s lead for season event titles with Hunter at 13 (four all-around, bars & beam, one vault).

Next up, the No. 1 Gators look to defend their league title at the SEC Championships, set for March 23 at the Verizon Arena in North Little Rock, Ark. This year’s SEC Championships will be contested in two sessions comprising of four teams each, with the results combined to determine team and individual standings. As the event’s top seed, Florida will open the evening session on vault.

Ticket prices range from $4 to $25. Visit the SEC Championships Ticket site for further information.

The SEC Gymnastics Championships airs tape-delayed on ESPNU March 28 at 5:30 p.m. ET and ESPN March 30 at 7 p.m. ET.
