The Gators (25-6) advanced with an 80-58 victory over LSU on Friday, led by Erik Murphy's career-high 27 points and 12 rebounds. Meanwhile, the Crimson Tide (21-11) defeated Tennessee 58-48.
Two weeks ago at the O'Connell Center, the Gators stormed back from an eight-point deficit in the second half to defeat Alabama 64-52.
Gators coach Billy Donovan improved to 5-0 all-time against Alabama head coach Anthony Grant, who served on Donovan's staff at UF from 1996-2006.
