Monday February 25, 2013Weather Forces Cancellation of Second Round of Allstate Sugar Bowl Invite

New Orleans, La.

Overnight weather in the New Orleans area has caused damage to the English Turn Golf Course forcing today’s second round of the Allstate Sugar Bowl Invitational to be cancelled.

18 women’s college golf teams were set to play their second round of 18 holes Monday morning, but will now have to wait a day before getting back on the course. The tournament will now be considered a two round tournament with only one round being played tomorrow starting at 9 a.m. Tomorrow’s final round will also be a shotgun start.

The University of Florida currently sits in fifth place at two-under (286), just four shots behind leader and host-school, Tulane, which is at six-under (282).

Live scoring will be available on GolfStat.com and a full recap with complete results can be found on GatorZone.com following the day’s play.
