After not being ranked in the final polls each of the last two seasons, Florida checks in at No. 9 in the Associated Press and No. 10 in the USA Today Coaches’ Polls to close out the 2012 season. Since 1990, Florida has finished in the AP Top 25 final poll 21 of 23 years, including 14 times in the top 10.

2006-12, the Gators finished in the top 10 of the final poll four times, tied
with LSU for second-most in the SEC behind Alabama’s five top-10 finishes. It
is the 17th time in school history that UF has finished in the top
10.
Florida finished head coach Will Muschamp's second season 11-2 overall and 7-1
in the SEC. It is just the fifth time in school history that a Gator team has
won 11 games in the regular season. Florida faced four teams in the top 10 of
the final AP poll with a 3-1 record. UF’s three wins against the final top 10
teams were the most in the nation.
