Saturday December 15, 2012Lochte Sets Second World Record in Turkey

Gainesville, Fla.

In the fourth day of the 2012 FINA World Short Course Championships Ryan Lochte (USA) notched his second world record of the meet. Lochte previously set a new world record in Friday’s final of the 200m individual medley, and added another one in the semi-final of the 100m individual medley.

 

Lochte finished first in the semi-final of the 100 IM with a time of 50.71 to advance to the final on Sunday, the last day of the championships. Conor Dwyer (USA) advanced to the 100 IM final as well, finishing fifth in a time of 52.74.

 

On the last day of the FINA World Short Course Championships both Lochte and Dwyer will compete in final the 100m IM. For the complete meet information, including TV schedule click here.
