Tuesday November 27, 2012Thursday's Men's Basketball Game is UF's Green Game
In conjunction with the Office of Sustainability, Neutral Gator, and Pepsi, the University of Florida men’s basketball team will have its Green Game when the team faces Marquette on Thursday, November 29 at 9:00 p.m. at the O’Connell Center.
Pepsi will present two $5,000 grants to University of Florida students for their winning sustainable ideas, voted on by the student body during halftime of the game. In addition, the first 1,000 students will receive green recyclable sunglasses, courtesy of Pepsi. Thursday’s game against Marquette will be one of the last chances for fans to catch a Gators men’s basketball game at the O’Connell Center in 2012. The team will play Southeastern Louisiana on Wednesday, December 19 in its last game at home for 2012. UF will not return to the friendly-confines of the O’Connell Center until Wednesday, January 9 against SEC-foe Georgia.
