No. 6/6 Florida (10-1, 7-1 SEC) will travel to Tallahassee for a top-10 matchup against the No. 10/5 Florida State Seminoles (10-1, 7-1 ACC).
For the third time this season, the Gators will be facing a top-10 opponent and it marks the fifth ranked opponent overall, the first time since 2005 that UF has faced three top-10 teams in the regular season. The last time that the Gators defeated three top-10 teams in the regular season was 1997 (beat No. 4 Tennessee, No. 6 Auburn, No. 2 Florida St.).

This week’s meeting will mark the 57th meeting all-time in the series between the two schools. UF holds a 33-21-2 edge in the overall series, including a 12-11-1 record in Tallahassee. UF and FSU have faced each other in the regular- season finale each year since 1980. (In 2001, games of Sept. 11 were postponed until the week following the end of the regular season).
Florida is coming off a 23-0 victory over Jacksonville State, becoming just the third Gator team to go 7-0 at home in a season, while Florida State wrapped up conference play last week with a 41-14 win at Maryland to clinch the ACC Atlantic Division.
With a win against Jacksonville State, Will Muschamp became the third Florida head coach to record 10 wins in his second season as head coach. Steve Spurrier won 10 in 1991 and Urban Meyer won 13 in 2006.
