Wednesday November 7, 2012Gators Men Ranked No. 2 and Women No. 11/7 in CSCAA and CollegeSwimming.com Polls

Gainesville, Fla.

Coming off of three-straight dual meet wins, the University of Florida’s men’s swimming and diving team is ranked No. 2 in the latest CSCAA and CollegeSwimming.com Polls released on Wednesday. The Gator women are currently ranked No. 11 in the CSCAA and No. 7 in CollegeSwimming.com Polls.

 

There are currently six SEC teams ranked in the top 25 on the men’s side. Last weekend the men’s team defeated No. 21 Texas A&M 197-98 in their first home dual meet of the 2012-13 season. The team will travel to Tallahassee, Fla. next week where they will face No. 19 Florida State.

 

For the women, there are also six SEC teams ranked in the top 25. Two of the top three are SEC teams with Georgia at No. 1 and Texas A&M No. 3, the Gators only two losses. Florida most recently fell to Texas A&M but will look to bounce back when they face No. 16 Florida State in Tallahassee, Fla. on November 15.
