Thursday November 1, 2012Florida's Women Rank No. 11 in First CSCAA Poll
The University of Florida women’s swimming and diving team is ranked No. 11 in the first College Swimming Coaches Association of America rankings, announced Wednesday. The Gators are currently 1-1 on the season and 1-1 in the SEC.
There are seven SEC teams currently ranked in the top-25. Georgia is the top team coming in at No. 2, they were the runner-up NCAA’s last season. Texas A&M (3-0) and Auburn (3-0) each landed in the top-five as they were fourth and fifth respectively. Tennessee (4-0) landed in the top-10 as they are ranked No. 8. The LSU Tigers (4-1) are ranked No. 17 and Arkansas (3-1) is ranked No. 21.
Taking the No. 1 spot is Southern California (2-0) and completing the top-five are California (No. 3) and Stanford who is tied for fifth with Auburn. The Gators’ in-state rival Florida State (7-0) is ranked No. 22 in the poll. The two teams will face each other Thursday, November 15 in Tallahassee.

Florida will host their first dual meet of the season on Friday, November 2 against No. 4 Texas A&M in the Stephen C. O’Connell Center.
