Monday October 15, 2012Gator Lacrosse up for Four "Best of Lacrosse" Awards from Lacrosse Magazine
The University of Florida lacrosse team is up for four “Best of Lacrosse” awards from Lacrosse Magazine including Best Player, Best Coach and Best Team Breakthrough, announced by the publication on Monday.
Senior midfielder Brittany Dashiell is nominated for Best Women’s Player while Florida head coach Amanda O’Leary is up for Best Women’s Coach. The entire team is up for Best Team Breakthrough and the Gators’ national semifinal game against Syracuse is up for Best Game.
Fans will have a chance to make an impact on the awards as the two-week fan voting period begins today. Voting is now open and can be found at http://laxmagazine.com/bestoflacrosse2012. Votes will be accepted through Oct. 29th at 3 p.m. EST and poll results as well as staff picks will run in the December issue of Lacrosse Magazine.
