Fresh off a thrilling 20-17 come-from-behind win at Texas
A&M, the No. 18/17 Gators (2-0, 1-0 SEC) remain on the road for a showdown
at No. 23 Tennessee.
For the second straight week ESPN College Game Day will broadcast
from the site of the Gators’ game marking the 34th time UF has been
a part of the Game Day broadcast, the highest total in the
nation.
The Gators are looking for their first road win against a
ranked opponent since defeating No. 4 LSU in Baton Rouge in 2009. Sophomore
signal-caller Jeff Driskel was efficient in his first
full start at Texas A&M last weekend and hopes to build on that
performance in another hostile environment this Saturday.
The Gators will continue to ride the legs of Mike Gillislee, who through two games has carried 38 times for
an SEC-leading 231 yards and four touchdowns (tied for the SEC lead).
Tennessee
is 2-0 on the year after wins over NC State (35-21) and Georgia State (51-13)
to open the season. The Vols are led by quarterback
Tyler Bray, who has completed 45-of-61 passes for 643 yards and 6 touchdowns. Wide
receiver Justin Hunter, returning from a season-ending injury, has 17 catches
for 219 yards and 3 touchdowns.
