Incoming Gator freshman Arman Hall (Pembroke Pines, Fla.) won his heat and finished first overall in the men’s 400 meters on Tuesday at the IAAF World Junior Track & Field Championships, advancing to Wednesday’s semifinal rounds.

Hall, a two-time Gold medalist at the 2011 World Youth Championships in Lille, France, finished in 46.13. Hall is looking to claim medals in both the 400 and the 4x400-meter relay while competing at Montjuïc Olympic Stadium in Barcelona.

Hall is seeded first in Wednesday’s semifinals, running in lane four of the second heat at 2:07 p.m. ET. He is joined in competition on Wednesday by rising sophomore Ciarra Brewer (Union City, Calif.). Brewer is the reigning SEC Outdoor Champion in the women’s triple jump and a two-time All-American in her short time in the Orange and Blue. Brewer begins qualifying rounds of the women’s triple jump at 4:10 a.m. ET.

Competition runs through Sunday, July 15. Montjuïc Olympic Stadium in Barcelona was the site of the 1992 Olympic Games, where Team USA brought home 32 medals in track & field, the second-most in American history.

Live results and coverage of the World Junior Championships can be found at IAAF.org. UniversalSports.com will offer live broadcast coverage starting on Saturday, July 14 at 12:20 p.m., Eastern. Day five and six evening session coverage can be found on the site for $5.99. DirecTV and Dish Network subscribers can log on to the site and watch the broadcast for free.
