Tuesday July 10, 2012Harrison named to Rimington Trophy Fall Watch List

Gainesville, Fla.

Redshirt junior center Jonotthan Harrison (Groveland, Fla.) was named one of 51 players to the Rimington Trophy Fall Watch List, announced by the organization Tuesday.

Harrison has appeared in all 26 games in his career as a Gator, making 14 starts appearing as both center and left guard.

The Rimington Trophy is presented annually to the Most Outstanding Center in NCAA Division I-A College Football. Since its inception, the Rimington Trophy has raised over $2 million. The twelve-year old award is overseen by the Boomer Esiason Foundation, which is committed to finding a cure for cystic fibrosis and has raised over $100 million for CF Research. The award is voted on by four prestigious committees American Football Coaches Association, Walter Camp Foundation, Sporting News, and Football Writers Association of America.

The winner will be honored at the Rimington Trophy Presentation banquet at the Rococo Theater in Lincoln, Nebraska on January 12, 2013
