Monday June 18, 2012Randall Exits with Heat-Related Issues
Gainesville, Fla.
Gainesville, Fla.
OMAHA, Neb. -- Gators starter Hudson Randall left today's game against Kent State after the first inning due to heat-related issues.
Randall appeared to be breathing hard and not looking like himself when Gators head coach Kevin O'Sullivan came to the mound during the bottom of the first inning.
Randall stayed in the game and struck out Sawyer Polen to end the inning.
However, in between innings Jonathon Crawford began warming up in the bullpen and replaced Randall in the top of the second.
Randall entered the game with a 9-2 record and 2.61 ERA. In nine career NCAA Tournament starts, Randall was 5-1 with a 2.50 ERA.
