Monday June 4, 2012UF Baseball NCAA Super Regional Against NC State To Begin Saturday Afternoon
The NCAA Super Regional between No. 1 Florida (45-18) and No. 16 NC State (43-18) at McKethan Stadium will begin on Saturday at 2 p.m. and will be carried live on ESPNUHD. The second game of the best-of-three series will be at 1 p.m. on Sunday on ESPNUHD, with the third and deciding game to begin at 1 p.m. on Monday on ESPN2HD if necessary.
The top-ranked Gators handled Bethune-Cookman (4-0) and knocked off No. 24 Georgia Tech twice, 6-2 and 15-3, to claim the Gainesville Regional for the fourth-straight year, while the Wolfpack claimed the Raleigh Regional by defeating Vanderbilt, 9-7, in a winner-take-all game on Monday night by plating three runs in the ninth inning. NC State opened the tourney with a 16-5 win over Sacred Heart before dropping a 9-8 decision to the Commodores. The squad then posted victories over UNC Wilmington (17-5) and captured two in a row over Vanderbilt (6-5 and 9-7) to advance.

The determination of the Men’s College World Series order of first-round games both Friday, June 15, and Saturday, June 16, will be announced Monday, June 11. The ESPN family of networks and www.NCAA.com/cws will release the CWS game dates and times as soon as they are available.
The 66th College World Series begins play Friday, June 15, at TD Ameritrade Park Omaha in Omaha, Nebraska.
