Q: What are your personal goals for the season? What do you see as the team’s goals?
I try not to get caught up in statistics, but I do like to see improvement. I focus on doing something better than I have in past seasons. I think caused turnovers and ground balls would be some categories I could definitely improve in. I think our team goals would be to win the ALC’s and a national championship!
Q: What were you most looking forward to when you transferred to Florida this fall?
When transferring into Florida, I was most excited about being able to play with the most talented girls in the nation and for such an amazing coaching staff. Since they reached so much success and have been competing at an elite level, it was exciting to be in a position where I could learn a lot from the coaches and players.
Q: What is your favorite thing about being a Florida Lacrosse player?
I love the pride everyone has for this team and school. Just being able to say that I am a student-athlete at the University of Florida and represent the Gators is one of my favorite things about this program.
Q: What are some of your favorite non-lacrosse things to do in or around Gainesville?
I love lying out by the pool on off days!
Q: What is your favorite memory with your teammates, on or off the field?
One of my favorite memories with my teammates was when we were about to do a workout with Karin Werth in the weight room. I looked over at Cara (Canington) and she’s jumping up and down chanting “GET PUMPED UP!” She swears she wasn’t being serious, but it was still one of the funniest things I’ve ever seen.
Q: Tell us a little-known fact about you…
I’m deaf in my right ear.
Q: What’s your favorite class that you’ve taken at UF, and why?
History of Jazz was one of my favorite classes. It made me appreciate the style of music and understand the era in more depth.
Q: What do you want to do after you graduate?
I want to stay surrounded in sports. As of right now, I want to coach lacrosse at the collegiate level.
Q: If you could take a trip anywhere in the world, where would it be?
Germany. Both of my parents were born there and I think it would be really cool to see my family’s background.
Q: What is your favorite tv show?
Revenge—I’m absolutely obsessed. I also just started getting into Breaking Bad.
Q: Top 5 most-played songs on your iPod:
“Faith” - Kendrick Lamar
“Somebody to Love” – Usher
“A Fighter” – Gwyenth Paltrow
“Mother We Just Can’t Get Enough” – New Radicals
“Losing My Balance” – J.Cole
