Thursday March 15, 2012Free Parking Shuttle Available For Friday's Gymnastics & Baseball Events

Gainesville, Fla.

Albert finds taking the parking shuttle easy & convenient.

Plan to use the complimentary parking shuttle available to bring fans to the site of three Gator athletic events Friday. The area near the Stephen C. O’Connell Center will be full of activity as the No. 1 Gator gymnastics and baseball teams will both play host to home action. The Gator gymnasts will close out their regular season schedule against No. 7 Utah at 7 p.m. in the O’Connell Center. Florida’s baseball team begins its series against Southeastern Conference rival Vanderbilt at 7 p.m. in nearby McKethan Stadium. Gator football will also be playing host to its 2012 Coaches Clinic. Fans are strongly encouraged to use the free parking shuttles this Friday to avoid the expected heavy traffic

Buses will be available starting at 5 p.m. to shuttle fans from the commuter lot on Gale Lemerand Drive to two destinations just steps away from gymnastics or baseball action. The buses will stop at the corner of Gale Lemerand Drive and Stadium Road near Gate 2 of the O’Connell Center for access to the gymnastics meet.

Fans heading to the baseball game will have an additional stop on the shuttle near the south gate at the Lemerand Center adjacent to McKethan Stadium. The shuttles will run for 30 minutes following the conclusion of the evening’s final event.
