The Gators take a break from Southeastern Conference action and play host to No. 3 Duke on Wednesday at Linder Stadium at Ring Tennis Complex. First serve is scheduled for 3 p.m. and admission is free.
Florida is 6-0 at home this year and sports an overall program-record home winning streak of 101, which includes 18 wins in postseason play (SEC and NCAA Tournament). The last time the Gators fell at home was on May 15, 2004, in the second round of the NCAA Tournament to Miami (Fla.), 4-3.
The Gators lead the all-time series against Duke, 33-4, which includes a 14-1 record in Gainesville.
The teams met twice last season, with Florida earning a 4-2 win in Durham on Feb. 13, before taking the 4-1 decision on Feb. 20 in the semifinals of the National Team Indoor Championships.
The Blue Devils handed the Gators a rare home loss back on March 28, 2001, when then-second-ranked Duke knocked off then-fifth-ranked Florida, 4-1. Duke’s last win against Florida was a 4-3 thriller on Feb. 15, 2008 in Durham.
Florida boasts a remarkable 435-25 all-time home record when playing in Gainesville, including a 6-0 record in 2011-12.
